Greensburg Power Of The Past Tractor Pulling Rules Friday weigh in and registration begins at 4:30pm - 6:00pm   Pull starts at 6:00pm 50% pay back Hook Fee Is $20 Per Class TRACTOR CAN ONLY PULL 1 TIME PER CLASS WITH 1 DRIVER Pull from twisted clevis or drawbar with a 3-inch hole and not more than 1 inch of steel at pull point.  Drawbar must be rigid at least 18-inch to the rear of the Center of the rear axle and have a maximum 20-inch height. The rear 5 inch of hitch Must be nearly horizontal and attached securely to original pull points. The drawbar and support are to be fastened at the original location and be like the original design. Drawbar to be as strong as the original. If not in compliance, you don’t pull. One restart will be allowed if the tractor stops in the first 100 feet.  In case of mechanical failure, tractor may pull at the end of class. Pull must start from a tight chain. If tractor tires or sled goes out of bounds, or if the front wheels get above 18 inches off the ground or if any object falls off of the tractor during competition, contestants will be flagged and disqualified. If miles per hour (4 mph) is exceeded after 100ft. Horn will sound and the driver will be disqualified. Classes pull on distance. Tractor pull in first gear at factory high idle RPM. No over-riding the governor. Throttle must be fully open in the first 100ft and engine cannot run faster than this during the rest of the pull. No governor surge after 100 ft but the throttle can be moved. Ag tractors only. Must have stock blocks, heads, manifolds, carburetors and fuel injector pump. Tractors must have the original front end, frame and drivetrain. Tractors must have factory stock wheels and hubs, front and rear. NO CUT OR SHARPENED CLEATS. Rims must be standard diameter for tractor and not exceed standard width for tire. MAX TIRE SIZES: 3500 lb. 4000 lb. 4500lb. 5000 lb. 5500lb. 6000 lb. 6500 lb. max tire 15.5 7000 lb. 7500lb. 8000 lb. 8500 lb. 9000 lb. max tire 18.4 Tractors may weigh only 100 lbs. more then the class weight. Wheel Weights, suitcase weights and custom-made weights bracelets are permitted. Front weight bracket and weights to extend no farther than 11 feet from center of rear axle. Weights may not extend behind rear tires. Contestants must be a member of the organization hosting the tractor pull.  Must also have a driver’s license and be at least 16 years of age. No body under the age of 16 will be allowed to pull. Drivers must stay seated and drive the tractor in a safe manner and be able to reach the clutch at all times. Seat must be stock Or a manufactured seat placed with a stock mounting. (NO HOMEMADE SEATS) All tractors weigh in right after their pull. Do not stop after pull, go straight to the scales and reweigh. Tractor with torque can only use high if gear speed is under 4 mph speed limit and torque cannot be shifted after sled is started. Tractors with creeper gear may use 2nd. Any protest is to be made during a class by someone in that class, to an official BEFORE THE TRACTOR leaves the track.  If you protest someone’s tractor, your tractor will be checked too. When tractors are pulling or in motion on the track nobody is allowed on the track except the officials & track workers. All tractors must be weighed in before pull starts, if not able to do so you must notify an official of any problems. Any protest must be made during the class by the contestant, and to an official!
